I like to daydream about winning the lottery, how I would choose to spend and give away the money, and how winning wouldn’t change who I am. But alas, I’ve never purchased a lottery ticket in my life. And record Power Ball winnings pale in comparison to these little gems!
This was one of those crazy, fun, exhausting, wonderful weekends. My younger sister has been visiting from Alaska, and we were able to get much of the family together. Great food, lots of laughter, and a game of extreme four-square rounded off the day. 🙂
Here it is — the day before Holy Week begins, and as a church musician, I am swamped, but loving every minute of the season. Even though we aren’t getting a blizzard – and all the snow/ice is gone – it’s still a perfect day for SOUP!
Oh yeah! This chicken has it all! The three S’s — Sweet. Savoury. Spicy. And to top it off, it’s darned delicious. It even has won the approval of an incomprehensibly lovely Italian!
A person doesn’t have to be Irish to love Irish coffee. And it doesn’t have to be St. Patrick’s Day to drink Irish coffee. In fact, one of the best cups of Irish coffee I’ve ever had was in Scotland. Another in Park City, Utah. And the other in my small-town Minnesota living room.
So, this may be my newest addiction. I can’t seem to get enough of it. I’m sure there will be dozens of ways to serve this pork – fried rice, breakfast scramble, on a salad – but so far, I can’t get beyond straight out of the pan.
